Dane Stammers

Whilst completing a Bachelor of Commerce in 2004, Dane took a big U-turn in his direction and began working in the community with young people, namely those of a refugee and culturally diverse background.
He spent some time working in not-for-profit organisations overseas and has since been using his love of African drumming to teach and inspire others to connect through music.
He is currently the Program Coordinator of Edmund Rice Community & Refugee Services in St Albans and is involved in a number of initiatives that break down xenophobia and promote introspection, understanding and connection among young people.
